Hooray! On the road at last

Customs clearance was reasonably fast in the end, but inevitably there was a “special fee” that was suddenly discovered.

The jerry-rigged crate did a fine job and the bike was dusty but unharmed.

Happily the bike started easily and the battery was still strong. The first ride was instantly into the dockyard traffic with wall-to-wall trucks.

The only way to cope with Indo traffic is to stop trying to anticipate what everyone else is going to do. Just ride for yourself, don’t run into anything, and have faith that everybody else is doing likewise.
